There is three titles in this beauty contest, 1st is the World, 2nd is the Universe and 3rd is the Earth titles and these 20 finalists are ready to win one of them but there will three lucky participants whose dream make true on the grand finale. The grand finale will be held on the 5th of April 2009 so wait for the grand finale main event.

Ekta Chaudhary, the confident black-eyed beauty won the crown. This twenty-two year old Delhite possesses the perfect statistics. She stands tall at 5'9.5", and weighs an enviable 55.5kg. Her hourglass figure can be explained by the stats that read 32-24-36!
Pooja Chopra became Miss India World, and Shriya Kishore was crowned Miss India Earth.
While Sonakshi was crowned the Miss India Sexy Legs, Diksha bagged the Miss Fresh Face title. Harshita became the Miss Agile!

Ekta Chaudhary has won the Femina Miss India crown

Ekta Choudhury, a 22-year-old from New Delhi, was Sunday night crowned Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2009. She will represent the country at the global beauty pageant later this year.

Ekta Chaudhary has won the Femina Miss India crown. Sonakshi was declared the Miss India Sexy Legs while was Diksha was adjudged the Miss Fresh Face title. Harshita became the Miss Agile! Pooja Chopra won the Miss India World. Shreya Kishore was declared Miss India Earth.

Niharika Naganda was declared Miss India Beautiful eyes.

Priyanka Chopra, Genelia D'Souza also performed on the occasion.

The judges panel included Madhur Bhandarkar, Ajay Devgan, Sushmita Sen, Asin, Deepika Padukone; fashion designer Nandita Mahtani, IGM managing director Ravi Krishnan, fashion magazine editor Mickey Bourdman, and Lakme advisor Anil Chopra.

The twenty contestants from across the country who made it to the semi-final round were Tulip Bhattacharya, Sonakshi Sajnani, Shriya Kishore, Ragini Dwivedi, Pooja Hegde, Nishtha Khadiwala, Niharika Nag, Nandini Vaid, Karishma Karnik, Ishita Sarkar, Harshita Saxena, Hanika Paryani, Faith Pandey, Ekta Chowdhry, Dimple Patel, Deeksha Seth, Aparajita Sharma, Akanksha Yadav and Aarohi Kadam.

Another new year, another night filled with great excitement, dazzling with beauty and glamour and another three winners. Yes, Pantaloons Femina Miss India (PFMI) 2009, the most prestigious beauty pageant of India just finished. Pooja Chopra, contestant no.15, became Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2009.

Pooja Chopra was trained by pageant coach Ritika Ramtri Kumar of The Tiara Pageant Training and Modelling Academy. Pooja Chopra won Pantaloons Femina Miss India East 2009 on February 17, 2009 in Kolkata. She also won Miss Perfect 10, Miss Catwalk and Nakshatra Miss Sparkling Beauty. An established model Pooja Chopra did several TV commercials including: for Mr Muscle, Big 97 FM, Dabur Honey, Coke (Pakistan) and EZone. Pooja Chopra walked on the ramp for Gitanjali, D’Damas, Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis, Wendell Rodericks, Mihika Mirpuri, and Roberto Cavalli. Prior to Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2009, Pooja Chopra participated in few beauty pageants and won titles. In 2007, she became Navy Queen 2007 1st runner up, NDA Queen 2004 1st runner up. Pooja Chopra even did a small role in Fashion. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, Fashion stars top Bollywood actresses like Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. Famous model Mugdha Godse also launched her acting career with Fashion. In Fashion, Pooja wore wardrobes designed by ace fashion designer Priyanka Rajiv who also designed a saree for Angelina Jolie when she was visiting India.
