Thoranai is Vishal's next film, in which he is paired with Shriya Saran. Directed by debutant Iyappan, this movie is produced by Vishal's brother, Vikram Krishna, under GK Films.

This action-packed entertainer is expected to be released late 2009.The cast includes Prakash Raj, Sreeman, Pandiarajan, Livingston, Paravai Muniamma, Santhanam, and Mayilsamy .

The music is scored by Mani Sharma, cinematography is by Priyan, stunts by Stunt Siva and editing by VT Vijayan.

Shriya Saran is back to Kollywood

Shriya is back to Kollywood and with a bang! She has four releases in the next six months — Kandasamy with Vikram, Jaggubhai with Sarath Kumar, Thoranai with Vishal and Kutty opposite Dhanush.

She has probably realised that it is not worth doing itsy-bitsy films in Hollywood and Bollywood with actors who do not have a reach! Now, she is trying to re-invent herself in Tamil by signing films with mid-level heroes and top banners. She has also been shortlisted to play Surya’s heroine in Singam. But the actress, who has seen a lull in her career after Sivaji, says she has not reduced her salary. “I never charged more than what I thought I deserved. I haven’t cut it now to get more offers too,” is her explanation!
